Neva Grace Knight

Sports Psychologist, PH.D.

Neva Grace Knight is our company's inspiration. She was an outgoing, energetic, and incredible little girl who loved to dance and sing. She had a passion for all things Disney and coined the nickname "Neva the Diva." Neva loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Sunday School and prayer. Neva battled with Wilms Tumor, a form of childhood cancer, for 2 years and passed away on February 14, 2020. Her positive and joyful attitude in the face of adversary is something anyone can learn from, and her courage and bravery is astonishing. Here at NEVA Creative Arts Co., we dance, sing, and create for Neva and all cancer patients every day.

Cambrie Gerdes

Sports Psychologist, PH.D.

Cambrie Gerdes is thrilled to own NEVA Creative Arts Co.!

Cambrie has been dancing in the genres of jazz, tap, musical theatre, contemporary, modern, and ballet since age 5 and graduated from WVU in May 2024 with a B.A. in Dance and minors in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Social Media. She has trained extensively in voice under instructors such as Jane Lightfoot and Robert Chafin. Cambrie has been an instructor at Morgantown Dance Studio, Kat and Company Dance Studio, and Pizazz Dance Studio. She has performed in numerous productions for both dance and musical theatre, with some of her favorite roles being Marian Paroo in The Music Man, and the Snow Queen in The Snow Queen. Her choreographic pieces, "The Deal" and “Cantina” were selected to be showcased in WVU's Dance Now! 2022 and 2023. She has choreographed Morgantown Theatre Company’s Little Shop of Horrors (2021), The Music Man (2022), Suessical (2022), The Little Mermaid (2023), Annie (2023), Grease (2024), and Honk! (2024).

Cambrie has loved working with NEVA students through private voice and dance lessons, group classes, choreographing shows, and summer intensives. Sharing the power of the arts and helping the community through NEVA Creative Arts Co. is such a joy for Cambrie, and she can't wait to see where NEVA goes next!

Our Mission

We are a creative arts company that strives to provide quality artistic training that fosters outstanding triple threat technique and encourages individuality. Our company offers dancing and acting classes, voice lessons, intensives/master classes, and audition preparation.

In addition to the arts, we are dedicated to raise money and create awareness for childhood cancer patients and their families in Neva's honor. By signing up for a NEVA intensive, workshop, private lesson, etc., you can guarantee that a portion of proceeds will go towards fighting childhood cancer. We currently are donating to and supporting the WVU Children's Hospital.

We also have hosted two donation drives for the hospital. Thank you for your support, and look out for more donation drives and future NEVA events!
